Hawk Conservancy Trust

At the Hawk Conservancy Trust, you can start your 2024 with their "sparkling Winter Woodland Lights" with illuminations and a live owl display set in a "dazzling, colourful woodland." 

You can explore a number of trails, with the evening trail culminating in a show where their beautiful owls will take flight.

Mottisfont National Trust

The National Trust property Mottisfont has several new events taking place in 2024, including an exhibition to coincide with the 80th anniversary of D-Day - Heath Robinson at War from January, 20 to April, 14, showing a wide selection of Heath Robinson's humorous drawings from both World Wars.

The exhibition will contain about sixty pieces of original artwork together with books, Christmas cards made for different military units, and letters from the troops and the public thanking him for his morale-raising efforts, with suggestions of subjects for future drawings.

Another exhibition will be 'In Search of Sun & Shadow: The Art of Albert Goodwin' from September 21 to November 3.

Trained by the Pre-Raphaelites and encouraged by John Ruskin, Albert Goodwin became one of the most significant British landscape artists in the Victorian period following the death of Turner.

Oaktrack Smallholding

Oaktrack Smallholding is a "sustainable, small-scale farm, raising animals with provenance, available for sale in the farm shop." 

Visitors can take part in farm life by meeting the friendly animals, helping with their care, and experiencing the joys of collecting farm-fresh eggs.

The Meadow Glamping

The Meadow Glamping site has three glamping units spread over 2 acres including an original 1890's Showman's Wagon, a Bohemian retreat of colour and indulgence and a 23ft restored Narrow Boat next to its own private island.

There are romantic couples' escapes, optional candlelit dinners set up by the lake with food deliveries by rustic event caterers Wild Ones of Winchester.

Plaza Theatre

The Art Deco Plaza Theatre, in Romsey is looking to complete its 10-year refurbishment in 2024.

Owned and operated by the Romsey Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (RAODS), the theatre offers a mix of high-quality musicals, comedy, drama, dance, youth productions and live music - providing great nights out for visitors and residents alike.

Houghton Lodge Garden

Houghton Lodge Garden, a Grade II listed "Cottage Orné" surrounded by mature trees and lawns sweeping down to the banks of the famous River Test and including gardens, is arguably one of the most beautiful privately owned gardens to visit in Hampshire.
