Passionate 'gaffer' Jim Morgan leads Incredible Edible Winchester (IEW), an initiative promoting self-sustenance by growing your own food.
IEW, supported by Winchester Action on the Climate Crisis (WinACC), demonstrates the potential of green spaces with vibrant planters at the local train station and Abbey Gardens.
These spaces are diligently maintained by volunteers hosting mini events for children, aiming to spark a love for gardening and support environmental awareness.

IEW's main gardening activity takes place at two Community Allotments on Edington Rd in Winchester.
Frequent Tuesday and Saturday morning sessions allow volunteers to partake in 'work parties.' The allotments' greenhouses facilitate crop experimentation, providing insight into what flourishes best in varying climates.
Furthermore, IEW is partnering with local Winall residents to rejuvenate a community garden behind Firmstone Rd flats.

Additional help is encouraged; interested parties can reach out via the Winnall Community Space page on Facebook.
To expand awareness, IEW is hosting a Tea Party on Easter Saturday, March 30, from 3.30pm to 5.30pm at the Winnall Community Garden.
RSVP is encouraged to assist with planning, and can be made by emailing Kitty at food@winacc.org.uk.
