Works to repair and replace the fire-damaged equipment at Fraser Road Play Area are due to start on Monday, April 15.

The work should take around two weeks but the play area will remain open for the majority of the time. However, the whole play area will be closed for approximately two days while surfacing works are completed.

The project is weather dependant and Kings Worthy Parish Council will be updating residents if there are any changes to the plans.

The park was targeted by arsonists overnight in September 2022. Some of the equipment was completely destroyed by the fire, including kids’ favourite the wooden steam train which will be replaced.
