A Hampshire hotel has been ranked as the second-best establishment in the UK, according to the Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice 2024 awards.
Aviator Hampshire in Farnborough was featured in second place for the UK & Channel Islands list, just behind The Resident Covent Garden in London.
Tripadvisor's Traveller's Choice Awards creates a number of lists for best hotels for different regions of the world, as well as an overall best of the best list.
On their website, it says: "The Travellers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best title celebrates the highest level of excellence in travel. It’s awarded to those who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period. Out of our 8 million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this milestone.

Aviator Hampshire has a 5/5 score on Tripadvisor from 876 reviews, of which 830 are specified as being 'Excellent'.
One reviewer wrote: "As always Aviator is amazing! I have stayed so many times and love it every single time. I asked recently for a special request for a family member who was staying. They delivered and made their stay so special. I can’t wait to come back again for my annual break away in luxury!!"
Another put: "We have stayed at the Aviator for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and absolutely loved every moment; from walk in the door you will be greater by superb friendly Concierge and Reception Team!

"All staff were very attentive and smiley! Food was delicious and hotel was spotlessly clean! We will be back!"
Meanwhile, another posted: "We have been visiting this hotel for many years and we always have the most amazing stay. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. The service is exceptional. The rooms are incredible, comfy beds, lovely bathrooms and toiletries."
The hotel has a number of features for guests to enjoy including a fitness studio, five different dining options and plenty of meeting spaces to hire out.
