TWO teenagers have been convicted of taking part in a brawl during which a Southampton bus driver was struck with a golf club.
Tibor Templon got out of his First Hampshire and Dorset service to pacify a group who had hurled beer cans at his bus in Lordshill Way.
But the city crown court heard he was knocked to the ground and after staggering to his feet, was repeatedly struck beforee being hit with the club which split his lip and severely damaged his teeth.
A 17-year-old – who cannot be named for legal reasons – admitted causing grievous bodily harm in relation to the club and two others have been convicted of violent disorder.
Matthew Foss, 19, of Duttons Road, Romsey, and Craig Stride, 19, of Chelveston Road, Southampton, were bailed pending sentence on July 24.
Two youths were acquitted.
