A STOCKBRIDGE woman is fighting for her life after a head-on car crash on the outskirts of the town.
The 41-year-old driver was at the wheel of her BMW when the accident involving two other cars - a Jaguar and an Audi - happened on the A30 at Chattis Hill.
Her BMW collided head-on with the Jaguar before hitting the Audi and ended up on a roadside verge. Police say the motorist has life threatening injuries and is receiving treatment at Southampton General Hospital following Thursday evening's crash (November 5).
The Audi driver, a 45-year-old Stockbridge woman, was seriously injured and was taken to Salisbury District Hospital. Her injuries were not life-threatening, say police officers investigating the crash that closed the road between Broughton Crossroads and Meon Hill at Stockbridge for nearly six hours.
A 63-year-old Salisbury man who was driving the Jaguar was uninjured.
Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact Farnborough roads policing unit on 101 and ask for the Operation Trefoil investigation team. Callers living outside Hampshire and the Isle of Wight should call 0845-045-4545.
