PLANS have been unveiled to build 21 new homes on the outskirts of a Test Valley village.
Hyde Housing Association wants to develop a field to the south of King’s Somborne.
The proposed scheme would see a mixture of “affordable” two, three and four-bedroom houses and flats built on land off of Eldon Road. The 0.6-hectare mini-estate would be served by 39 parking spaces with access via Eldon Road and Hunter Close.
A design statement for the proposal says: “The houses are designed in a simple, contemporary style with pitched roofs, front porches, and natural rural materials of brick, tile, slate and timber.”
An application has been submitted to Test Valley Borough Council, though a date is yet to be set for a decision to be made.
