Perfumery to close down

INCREASED competition has been blamed for the forthcoming closure of a Romsey business.

Romsey Perfumery and Beauty Salon is closing in mid-March after 28 years in the town.

Owner, Georgina Holmes, said it was a difficult decision to make, but she has no option but to call time on the business.

“There is stiff competition in the beauty business and we cannot compete with the likes of Bradbeers and online sales. We have a lot of loyal customers who are going to be very sad we are closing,” said Georgina.

Six members of staff will lose their jobs when the shop closes.
