Test Valley Borough Council says its new-look website, to be launched shortly, will be more user-friendly.
Visitors to the site will find short cuts to check services such as bin collection days, pay bills, apply for permits and licences and report any issues.
Council leader, Ian Carr, said: “The site uses simple navigation to enable people to quickly find what they need, such as checking planning issues, contacting their councillor and how to get involved in decision making.”
Many calls to the council are about waste collection dates. The new site will have a facility to check these on line and TVBC plan to introduce a Smartphone app to make checking even easier.
TVBC says the website will save the authority £12,000 per year as it will be jointly hosted with Winchester City.
