The Southern Co-operative has donated £1,000 to Romsey and District Chamber of Commerce.
The presentation was made by Claire Walls, manager of The Southern Co-operative, Romsey, and member of the chamber’s executive committee, to Steve Corbett, manager of Waitrose, Romsey and vice-president of the chamber. “The Southern Co-operative wanted to recognise the hard work by the chamber within the town and support its continued efforts for the benefit of Romsey and local people,” said Claire. “Romsey Chamber has worked extremely hard over what has been challenging financial year for all to deliver the exciting events we have all enjoyed and is looking forward to the next year being an even greater success.” “Cash from The Southern Co-operative’s community support fund will contribute to ensuring the support given to our local community continues to gather momentum.
“The Romsey chamber relies on the united efforts of local businesses within the town and The Southern Co-operative and Waitrose enjoy working closely to contribute in any way they can.”
