Thief caught on camera
A beauty salon has released a CCTV image of man believed to have stolen £80 from their cash register.
The theft occurred at Call of Beauty in Market Place on Saturday at 12.45pm.
A spokesperson for the salon said the reception desk was left unattended for a few moments and staff only saw the back of the man as he left the premises, which are above the offices of the Romsey Advertiser.
The suspect, caught on camera with his hands in the till, was wearing a distinctive light-coloured beanie hat with “Bench” written on it.
Only at the end of the day, when staff cashed up, did they realise the money was missing and they examined the security camera tapes Anyone with any information should call PC Paul Francis at Romsey Police, on 101.
