AN ANDOVER College lecturer has bet £1,000 on Rory McIlroy to win the Masters after seeing the golfer’s face on his Danish pastry.
Rob Price bought the chocolate pastry from local bakery Burbidge’s on Weyhill Road and instantly recognised the Northern Irish star’s image.
Having seen the sign he immediately decided to back McIlroy at odds of 11/1, which could see him pocket £11,000 and his stake.
