POLICE are investigating a burglary where more than £7,000 worth of property was reported stolen in a house burglary in Shipton Bellinger.

The break-in took place at an address in the High Street between 3pm and 3.55pm on Saturday 16 August.

Jewellery, engagement rings, military medals, and electrical goods such as a 32-inch screen television were among the items taken.

Canvas holdalls with a leather trim, a small glass bowl with leather trim, jumpers, a dog's collar, and broached pearl necklaces were also reported stolen.

One line of enquiry is the use of a vehicle to take such a large amount of stolen property away from this address within one hour.

Anyone who might have seen any suspicious vehicles or people in the Shipton Bellinger area is asked to contact the Priority Crime Unit at Basingstoke police station by phoning 101.

No details would be regarded as too small.
