CHAS and Dave are celebrating their 50th anniversary with a new album and will be visiting Basingstoke at the end of the month.
They will be performing at The Anvil on Friday, 26 September at 7.45pm.
That’s What Happens, their first original album in 27 years, is a mixture of vintage rock ‘n’ roll songs and new renditions of their own rockney classics.
Chas and Dave began writing and performing songs together in 1972, having been friends since the early sixties.
They reached the top 20 in 1979 with Gertcha, which became a nationwide catchphrase.
Their other well-loved songs included Rabbit, Ain’t No Pleasing You and Snooker Loopy.
Tickets for Chas and Dave are priced at £27.50.
