THERE will be something for all music lovers at Andover Town Band’s next concert later this month.

The group will be performing everything from Mozart classics and traditional brass band marches, to Elton John pop hits and Irish dance during the gig on Saturday, 18 October.

The concert, which takes place at Andover Baptist Church from 7pm, celebrates the band’s August tour of the Mosel valley, on the boundary between Germany and Luxembourg, where the band performed four concerts.

Musical director Steve Large said: “Our band was well received wherever we performed on our trip, but nowhere more enthusiastically than in Luxembourg.

“The entertainment manager for the city council asked us if we could come back to performevery week during next summer.

“The trip was a great adventure for the band, binding us together even more strongly and providing an extra boost to our practice and rehearsals.

“We wanted our loyal Andover audiences to be able to share in this adventure, so we are bringing our tour back home.”

Tickets cost £8 for adults and £5 for under-18s.
