A FORMER Mayor of Test Valley has presented a cheque to the Countess of Brecknock Hospice.
Janet Whiteley, who served as mayor between 2013 and 2014 handed over £1,000 to the home.
The money was raised through her charity appeal during her year in office.
The cheque was presented at the hospice’s annual coffee evening, hosted by Margaret Smith, which also raised £424 for the charity.
Councillor Whiteley, pictured, said: “I hope this donation will go some way in helping towards the continued support of the Hospice whose caring services are greatly appreciated by so many.”
