TRADING standards are warning residents of a new scam involving a fake parcel.

How it works: You call the telephone number listed - the scammers ask you your payment method and take your details.

The National Fraud Intelligence are aware of this type of fraud and they're blocking calls to all telephone numbers provided by reports.

Unfortunately, as soon as they close down one telephone number, the fraudsters switch to a new one - so be vigilant and be warned.
You will never be asked to pay for a missed parcel delivery and you will never be asked for your bank details.
