POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information after two incidents where cash has been stolen.
Sometime between 12.30am and 1am today, thieves gained access to Tesco Express in Great Binfields Road in Lychpit, Basingstoke, and stole an amount of cash from the cash machine located outside the store.
Later this morning, at about 5am, thieves damaged a wall at Coral bookmakers at The Camrose in Winchester Road, Basingstoke. They gained access to the bookmakers although it is not yet known exactly what taken.
Detectives are now investigating whether these incidents may be linked.
Detective Sergeant Danielle Daltrey said: “Were you near to either area at the relevant times? Did you see anything suspicious or unusual?
“I’d like to hear from anyone who has information which could help with these two investigations.”
