AN ANDOVER man who suffered a fractured skull and bleeding to his brain is making progress, according to his family.

The Advertiser reported earlier this month that an urgent appeal was made by police after the 45-year-old was found unconscious  and lying in the middle of the street in London Road at 4am on Sunday, April 12.

He was taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital where he was treated for serious head injuries.

Hie niece, Tanya Tobin said on a social media page this week: "He's made a miraculous recovery. Had a bleed on his brain and a fractured skull, but he's recovering so well and is out. He was very lucky. Still can't remember a thing though bless him."

She added: "He doesn't know what happened, probably never will, but he's not going to question it for the rest of his life. He's going to be grateful for surviving this bizarre ordeal."
