HAMPSHIRE Constabulary have posted a video on their Facebook page to appeal for help in finding missing child sex offender Stephen Munden.

The county wide manhunt for Mr Munden, who is described as having a "fanatical obsession" with small girls, has been going on for over five days after he went missing from Mildmay Oaks independent Hospital in Winchfield on Tuesday 21 April.

Hampshire Police have released two images of Mr Munden - One with a beard and one without.

The 54-year-old was being detained under the Mental Health Act but it is believed that he climbed over a fence and left the hospital grounds on foot.

Since the news broke, numerous sightings of Mr Munden have been reported around Hampshire but efforts to track him down have been unsuccessful.

Hampshire Constabulary have been leading the search and are now turning to Facebook for help in finding Mr Munden, releasing a short video appeal on their official page.

The two minute video shows Chief Inspector Annabel Berry talking about the search as well as thanking all those who have reported sightings.
