A PERVY pensioner from Andover used a handheld video camera to film up the skirts of two teenagers who were out shopping.

David Hunt admitted doing an act outraging public decency last April while on holiday in Totnes, Devon.

Prosecutor Deborah Hodges said the 68-year-old tourist was arrested at a shop after he filmed the girls aged 19 and 17 who were 'both wearing short skirts and were pretty'.

The girls noticed him walking past them slowly with a walking stick but saw that the light on the video camera was on.

Hunt, of Hatherden, told police he was 'sorry' and 'didn't know why he did it'.

Torbay magistrates court heard retired Hunt, who worked for the Post Office for 43 years, had been cautioned for the same behaviour in 2006.

Defence lawyer Simon Colman said Hunt uses the video camera to 'record a diary' of his holidays.

He said the offence was a 'combination of temptation and opportunity' and he apologised to the girls.

Hunt was given a community order with a five year long sexual harm prevention order which includes not taking images of youngsters. He was also told to pay £145 costs.
