POLICE attended an Andover supermarket this morning after an attempted pick pocketing.

Officers were called to the Asda store on Anton Mill Road at around 10.30am following the attempted theft. 

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, around 5ft 6 inches tall and wearing a black and white baseball cap with a red top, blue coat and black jeans.

Nothing was stolen on this occasion but the police are advising people to be vigilant while shopping and not to leave bags open or unattended in trollies.
