ANDOVER was one of the coldest places in the country last night as thermometers plunged across the UK.
Hampshire residents woke to clear skies and frozen windscreens after the mercury dropped to -5C at Middle Wallop measuring station overnight.
The coldest temperature across the country as a whole was at the Benson station near Oxford, which recorded -9C, while the highest was 10.7C at St Catherine's Point on the Isle of Wight.
