A DROVERS Walk man has been fined more than £100 and jailed for two months after pleading guilty to theft, abusive behaviour and failing comply with requirements following his release from prison.
James Steven Smith pleaded guilty to stealing two MP3 players worth £150 from Maplin Electronics in Andover on Wednesday, February 1, and to using threatening and abusive words or behaviour when he appeared in Basingstoke Magistrates' Court recently.
The 35-year-old, of Drovers Walk, was sent to prison for 50 days and given a victim services surcharge fine of £115.
Smith also admitted breaching a supervision requirement imposed following release from prison.
He sent to prison for a further 14 days for this offence, increasing it to a total of 64 days in prison.
