FIREFIGHTERS helped save thousands of pounds of clothing during a water leak at a High Street store this afternoon.
Crews were called at around 4pm today to deal with the leak, which began in a sink above Dorothy Perkins.
Firefighters say the water came from a leaky tap which filled and eventually overflowed the sink.
The water then spilled onto the floor and caused part of the ceiling of Dorothy Perkins to collapse.
Firefighters quickly isolated the water source and the building's electricity supply before assisting staff in rescuing the store's clothing.
According to the fire service, some of the shop's stock was damaged by the water.
