AN ANDOVER husband and wife team are celebrating six months of helping keep properties looking at their best.
Carla Goncalves and her husband Tornike decided to work for themselves following previous careers in different sectors and so set up cleaning company, The Cleaning Godmother.
With experience of selfemployment and an existing network of contacts, Carla and Tornike now work together to offer domestic, commercial and window cleaning.
Now, after six months of operations, the pair have received a cheque for £750 under Test Valley Borough Council’s (TVBC) Business Incentive Grant scheme.
St Mary’s ward member, Councillor John Cockaday, who presented the grant cheque, said: “Carla and Tornike have brought their skills and experiences together to launch a successful business model and they are doing really well.”
Carla added: “I’d like to thank the council for the grant which has been a fantastic help for us while we are in the early stages of setting up.”
The council’s Business Incentive Grants are available to anyone looking to set up their own business in Test Valley.
Anyone who successfully applies will receive a grant of £750 if their business is still going strong six months later.
