IT IS a reminder of the sacrifices people have made in conflict and the callousness of others.

On Sunday, just hours after Albert Brackstone (pictured) proudly wore the Burma Campaign medals he had waited more than 70 years to receive at a remembrance service, foul thieves stole Poppy Appeal tins from three shops.

Stores in Andover, Ludgershall and Wilton were all targeted on Sunday afternoon within hours of one another in actions which police have described as ‘disgraceful’ and ‘extremely disrespectful’.
