A DONATION from a business has provided a new minibus for an elderly charity.
Simplyhealth has donated money to Andover Neighbourcare, a charity that provides services to help Andover’s ageing population, such as help with transport, shopping, cleaning, gardening and relieving carers.
The business donated £40,000 including £30,000 for a new community minibus.
Pam Delderfield, manager of Andover Neighbourcare, said: “I would like to say that Simplyhealth have been strong supporters of Neighbourcare for which we are very grateful.
“Our bus is used most days for outings and taking some of the sheltered housing and nursing homes out.”
Roger Cotton, head of corporate giving at Simplyhealth, said:“We’ve supported Andover Neighbourcare for many years and we’re extremely proud to work in partnership with a charity dedicated to supporting the elderly within our community.”
