Shoppers in Basingstoke raised a tidy sum for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
The charity’s yellow helicopter pod was stationed at The Malls on Saturday, October 25. Shoppers donated £1,251.90 throughout the day. Fundraiser June Leatheam thanked all those who donated for their support.
Quilters pull in the pounds THE North Hampshire Quilters pulled in the pounds for charity at a quilt show.
The group held the show at The Costello School, in Crossborough Hill, on October 18 and 19 with over 150 items made by members on display.
A double bed-sized quilt was raffled off at the event.
In a series of events over the last few months, the group has raised £2,500 for RadCan, a charity set up to raise money for the new Radiotherapy Centre at Basingstoke hospital.
The money raised will go towards the purchase of equipment to be used at the centre.
