SOVEREIGN Housing Association has taken over the running of 65 homes in Mapledurwell in a bid to provide residents with a more localised service.

The homes in Greywell Road, Mapledurwell were transferred to Sovereign Housing Association from Housing Solutions at the end of January.

The homes include 32 shared ownership properties, 16 leasehold homes and 17 homes for rent.

Sovereign’s regional director for Hampshire, Luke Bingham, said: “We are delighted to have acquired these homes in one of our real heartlands; we are always aiming to consolidate our presence in our core operating areas so that we can deliver a more efficient and responsive service to residents.”

Jill Caress, Housing Solutions group business development director, added: “We are delighted to sell these homes to Sovereign. As they have offices in Basingstoke, they will be able to provide these customers with more local, responsive housing services and resident opportunities.”
