MORE than 40 pieces of graffiti were removed from Hart and Rushmoor during a graffiti focus campaign by the Safer North Hampshire community safety team.

The team organises a removal week twice a year to remove graffiti from both public and private property in response to concerns from residents.

Among other locations, graffiti was removed from fences in Wellworth Park, Hook.

David Lipscombe, community safety projects team leader for Safer North Hampshire, said: “Graffiti is not a huge problem in Hart and Rushmoor, and this project helps to make sure that graffiti is removed as quickly as possible, helping to provide a sense of pride and ownership of the places where people live and work.”

In Hart, graffiti can be reported by email at communitysafetyteam@community safetynh.org or by calling 01252 774229.
