A CORDLESS hoover has been bought for a cancer charity thanks to a group of students.
The team taking part in the National Citizen Service Challenge organised face painting, a cake sale and tombola to raise funds for the Pink Place.
They also took part in a walk from Basingstoke Football Club’s ground to Festival Place and back.
They managed to raise £750 which bought a hoover for the charity, which supports women with breast cancer.
The remainder will be used to buy beauty products for those who use the Pink Place.
