THE 110th branch of The Range is due to open in Basingstoke on Friday, November 13.

After weeks of preparation, the site has been transformed into a modern superstore with 16 departments including a family cafe and outdoor garden centre, which are nearing completion ahead of the grand opening.

The new store will be located on Reading Road and will open at 9am, bringing 80 jobs to the local area.

Chris Dawson, entrepreneur and owner of The Range, will officially open the store, joined by Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Councillor Anne Court.

The Range's mascot Captain Range will also attend, giving out balloons and entertaining the crowds.

Mr Dawson said: "The Basingstoke store comes at an exciting time of expansion for the company, and will be the 110th Range store across the UK. With plans for four other new stores to open before Christmas and many more into 2016, I am very proud of the rapid growth we have seen as a business over the past year.

"I am certain that the new store in Basingstoke will be a welcome addition to the area and look forward to inviting the local community down to celebrate the opening."

Those at the opening will have the chance of winning £250 in Range vouchers which will be given to one lucky winner.

The Range will also offer prizes to the first 50 people in the queue.

Face painting will be on offer for children the following day, on Saturday, November 14, along with free craft demonstrations throughout the weekend.
