THE new John Lewis at home and Waitrose store received its first delivery of stock today ahead of the grand opening next week.

Staff at the new co-located shop at Basing View are now busy filling the shelves before opening the doors to customers for the first time on Thursday, November 12 at 9am.

John Lewis at home will offer an edited assortment of furniture, furnishing accessories, homeware, electricals, nursery goods and a selection of skincare, whilst Waitrose will introduce a juice bar, a wine and beer bar where customers can also enjoy tapas and deli platters, as well as a bakery cafe.

Ali Gilbert, branch manager at John Lewis at home, said: "We're now one week away from opening and the teams at John Lewis at home and Waitrose Basingstoke are looking forward to opening our doors for the first time next week.

"Receiving our first stock deliveries and starting to fill the shelves is extremely exciting as we begin to see the shop come alive, and we can't wait to greet our very first customers next Thursday."
