Effects of Storm Frank felt in Basingstoke
GUSTS of wind up to 50mph are set to hit Basingstoke today as the town feels the effects of Storm Frank.
Although the town will escape the severe gale force winds expected in the north of the country, where severe flood warnings are in place, there will be gusty wind across the borough today.
The Met Office forecasts a windy morning, turning wet through the afternoon, with gales in exposure.
Heavy rain is due tonight, followed by showers and possible heavy rain with gusty wind tomorrow.
