A MAN was attacked, knocked unconscious and stripped of his possessions by a gang in Basingstoke.

Officers are seeking information on an assault on a man that took place in the early hours of Tuesday, February 23.

The 30-year-old victim talked to a group of people outside the Londis store by Crown Heights at around midnight on Monday, February 22.

The man then walked home and the group followed him. He was walking on the path between Phoenix Park Terrace and Shooters Way when he was assaulted and knocked unconscious.
He woke to find his wallet containing £100 in cash, computer tablet, jacket and watch had been taken.
The man suffered scratches and bruising in the incident.
One of the attackers is described as a white woman, aged around 20-years-old with short blonde hair and wore a white tracksuit.
Another is described as a white man, in his early 20s, and wore a dark winter hat, a dark jumper and dark grey tracksuit bottoms.
A third attacker is described as a white man aged in his early 30s, of skinny build, with missing teeth and wore a dark winter hat and hood.
Detective Constable Jo Blanchard said: “This is an unusual incident but we would like to remind people to take care when walking in isolated areas late at night.
“Anyone who saw this group in the Basingstoke railway station/Shooters Way area at around this time, or who noticed anything suspicious, is asked to contact Basingstoke CID on 101, quoting 44160077505.”
