POLICE are on the lookout for a grey haired woman who attempted to persuade an 11-year-old boy to get into a car with her.

The 'suspicious incident' took place around 1pm on Thursday 29 September in Baughurst.

An 11-year-old boy was walking along Brimpton Road, close to Hurst Leisure Centre when he was approached by a stranger driving a Vauxhall Zafira.

The woman, described as white and aged in her late sixties, sounded her horn several times before trying to persuade the boy to get into her car.

The 11-year-old declined and walked away.

The woman did not make any physical contact with the young boy and drove off.

Police say the woman had pale and wrinkly skin and was wearing a grey or white coloured dress with a hat and sunglasses.

Her car is described as an "older model" Vauxhall Zafira, blue in colour, with scratches down the passenger side.

Officers in the Northern Investigations team are working to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.
