POLICE have named the driver who died following a road collision in Basingstoke.
Duncan Appleby, 38, of Coronado Road, Gosport, died as a result of his injuries which he sustained during the collision at the junction between the A30 and A33 on Thursday, September 29.
He was the driver of a Ford Transit which was in collision with a lorry at around 4.10pm.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital but sadly died the following day.
His passenger, a 30-year-old man from Gosport, remains in hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The three people in the lorry were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing and anyone who saw the collision or either vehicle prior to it are urged to come forward.
