POLICE say a 'large number' of cannabis plants have been seized in Brighton Hill this weekend.
PCSO Thomas Harries, from the Basingstoke Neighbourhood Policing Team, said officers swooped yesterday (Saturday).
In a police alert bulletin, PCSO Harries wrote: "I am happy to report a large number of cannabis plants have been seized by police within Brighton Hill.
"This action was carried out following enquiries by the Neighbourhood Policing Team.
"It is estimated to have a street value of about £5,000.
"If you have any information, or suspect any suspicious activity within your local area, please call 101 or 999 in emergencies.
"Alternatively you call report incidents anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800555111."
The Gazette has asked the force if any arrests were made.
