FOLLOWING its apprenticeship recruitment fair in March, Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) is giving people interested in becoming an apprentice another chance to find out more.

Today (Monday), more than 30 employers with apprenticeship vacancies including the NHS, John Lewis, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Virgin Media and Vodafone will exhibit at the college.

The event runs from 4.30pm to 7pm at theWorting Road campus and aims to match people with opportunities.

Lorraine Heath, deputy principal for business and head of BCoT’s apprenticeship team, Aspiral Learning, said: “There has never been a better time to become an apprentice, with thousands of opportunities both locally and nationally. Many employers are now supporting staff of all ages right up to degree level.

“This means that an apprentice can start their career knowing they will gain all the skills and qualifications they need to succeed in industry without any debt at the end of their training.”
