A LEISURE facility appears to have abruptly closed citing financial issues.

Jump Factory, in Rutherford Road, on the Daneshill Industrial Estate, opened its doors for the final time on Thursday.

An automated message on the centre's phone line states: "It is with deep regret that we have to inform you the company is taking professional advice on its financial position and has ceased trading on June 28th, 2018.

"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your custom over the last two-and-a-half years."

Those people with bookings beyond Thursday have been contacted by the company about the situation.

A post on Caterpillar Music Basingstoke's Facebook page read: "Just got an email saying that Jump Factory has ceased trading because I’ve booked a jump session coming up.

"I feel so, SO sad about this!!

"It also hits home again just how hard it is to run a business and so super grateful for the support I get from you all.

"Bye bye and thanks for the fun Jump Factory."

The park was officially opened in March 2016 by BBC sports presenter Mike Bushell.

As well as trampolines, foam pits and play areas were also built inside the warehouse.

A similar facility, Flip Out, opened in Festival Place last year.

Jump Factory bosses have been contacted for comment about the closure.
