A BELOVED children’s attraction has held its last party as JJ’s soft play centre closed its doors for the last time.
For 15 years, the centre in Morse Road, Brookvale, has hosted children’s parties for families.
However, according to a Facebook post from the company, it has been forced to close, appearing to cite external pressures.
The post read: “After 15 fun packed years, it is with great sadness to announce JJ`s has now closed
“This is not our choice, but being a profitable independent business is not always enough in a corporate world
“We have thoroughly enjoyed hosting over 20,000 parties, well over a million children running around.
“I would especially like to thank the staff who brought the fun to life. Over the years we have had hundreds of great people, most of whom were part-time whilst at school, college and university who used their income to facilitate their education to become teachers, nurses, doctors, computer programmers. The list is endless
“I would like to thank all our customers for the fun times,”
Residents have been posting on the Facebook page about their fond memories at the centre and expressing their sadness at the facility closing.
Andrea Fielder said: “When you first opened a large group of Andover Childminders used to come every holiday.
“I accompanied as an extra pair of hands/eyes. It was always a fantastic social time, we booked a room for lunch and spent the day. My son celebrated his 13th birthday there ten years ago, and my grandchildren have enjoyed many times there.”
