The winners of the 2015 Test Valley Business Awards will be announced in May but there’s one entrant celebrating already.
Patrick Vaughan-Fowler, owner of the newly refurbished George & Dragon at Hurstbourne Tarrant, offered “early birds” who entered by November 30 a chance to win a three-course meal for two with a bottle of wine.
The lucky winner was Lulu’s Boutique in Andover, which stocks an array of womenswear and accessories.
Boutique owner Louise Ellison commented: “I never usually win anything, so I am really pleased. I’ve heard great things about the George & Dragon’s food since it reopened, and have been planning to go for a while, I just haven't had the time, so I'm looking forward to going.
“It was a lovely surprise to hear that someone had nominated me for a Test Valley Business Award. I’ve worked so hard over the last year to get my business off the ground, it’'s so nice to be given this recognition. I’m really proud of my shop, and excited about what the future holds!”
