A TEAM of Hampshire engineers have won a prestigious award following their work refurbishing the offices for Eastleigh Borough Council.

The team at WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff won the Refurbished/Recycled Workplace Award at the Annual British Council for Offices (BCO) Regional Property Sector Awards.

The team refurbished Eastleigh House in 2014, and redesigned it to be at the forefront of sustainable industry standards with carbon emissions reduced by 15 per cent.

WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff was responsible for the building services, providing improved insulation, air tightness, solar shading, energy efficient lighting, and re-cladding using rainscreen and roof mounted PV to generate green energy.

Technical director for building services at WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff Paul Weston, said: “We are delighted to have won the Refurbished/Recycled Award, which is a tribute to the outstanding work of our team.”
