COULD Patricia Fox-Williamson be north Hampshire’s brightest accountant?

Well she is now, having dyed her hair fluorescent pink to raise money for local cancer charity The Pink Place.

There is a poignant reason for Patricia, who owns Figurefox Accountants, based in North Waltham, to dye her hair last Friday.

“On 18 September I was 49 years, five months and two days old,” explained Patricia. “That was exactly the same age as my Mum was when she died of breast cancer.”

“As a teenager I would often joke that I would dye my hair pink, so it’s a lovely way of remembering Mum and also raising money.”

Patricia’s transformation took place at Taylor’s Hair and Beauty in Wote Street, where The Pink Place is based in Basingstoke.

“They had to dye my hair twice,” said brunette Patricia.

“It took five hours. But it’s worth it. My goal is to raise £1,991 as that’s the year that Mum died.”

The popular local accountant, who plans to revert back to her own colour in a few weeks time, said: “I’m enjoying being pink – let’s face it, you won’t miss me in a crowd.”
