BUSINESS women in Southampton will be celebrating when the nominations for this year’s Venus Awards are announced on Tuesday, September 29.
Dubbed “the Working Women’s Oscars”, the event at the Hilton Ageas Bowl in West End will be the start of a seven-month cycle of events to discover the brightest female business stars from the region.
The awards celebrate the contribution that women in business make to the region’s economy.
In Southampton this year, nominees and applicants will be competing in up to 15 categories, including small business award, influential women award, new business award, inspirational women award, employee of the year, and director of the year.
Tara Howard, founder of the Venus Awards, said: ‘In our fourth year, we are looking forward to seeing even more inspirational business women celebrated for their incredible achievements and contributions to the local business and wider community.
“There are now more categories than ever before, meaning even more success stories to share and celebrate.”
