A BASINGSTOKE swimming pool is set to undergo a major refurbishment to modernise and improve accessibility for customers.
Work is due to start on February 12 at the Basingstoke Aquadrome, and is expected to be finished by mid-March.
The transformation to the changing village at the pool, based at Basingstoke Leisure Park, will enhance the facilities for users, and will include new cubicles, accessible lockers, and a buggy parking facility.
Alan Elliott, contract manager for Basingstoke and Deane Community Leisure Trust, which manages the Aquadrome, said: “I am delighted that communities across Basingstoke and the surrounding area will very soon be able to benefit from these much needed improvements to the Aquadrome’s changing village.
"The trust aims to provide facilities that encourage active and healthy lifestyles and this refurbishment will help us to achieve that and hopefully attract even more people to the centre.”
The Aquadrome will remain open during the works, but with amended changing provision.
