A BOWLING alley in Basingstoke has undergone a £300,000 transformation and relaunched as Hollywood Bowl.

The Bowplex, at Basingstoke Leisure Park, was revealed to a host of VIP guests at an event to mark the completion of the major refurbishment.

The redesign saw the facility undergo a full rebrand and refurbishment including a new Hollywood diner serving handcrafted burgers, gourmet dogs and freshly made shakes served in milk bottles and retro glasses, as well as an new American-style bar.

In keeping with its newly adopted US style, food and drink can also be delivered directly to all 26 of the new-look lanes while people play.

Lanes can be pre-booked, and team members are always on hand to help set up ramps and in-lane bumpers for children.

Hollywood Bowl also has an amusement area, complete with the latest industry games such as Jurassic Park, along with retro games and old favourites, as well as two American pool tables.

Shalene Stephens, general manager of the Basingstoke Hollywood Bowl, said: “We’re incredibly excited about the transformation that has taken place in our centre and can’t wait to bring the full Hollywood Bowl experience to both new and existing customers.

“The people of Basingstoke deserve to have a fantastic bowling centre on their doorstep and we’re looking forward to exceeding their expectations with top class amenities and customer service.”

The centre is also recruiting. For more information visit bowlingcareers.co.uk.
