SAINTS star and marathon runner extraordinaire Franny Benali dropped by to give team ABP Southampton a few top running tips.
The man who covered at least 100 miles a day (running a marathon and cycling a minimum of 75 miles) in October for his Benali's Big Race charity fundraiser, had some sage advice for everyone taking part in the ABP Marathon/Half Marathon and 10K.
"First and foremost it's important to enjoy the day. Naturally anyone who wants to post a decent time needs to invest in their training and get some miles in their legs," he said.
"The ABP Half Marathon has been a great event and I've taken part for the two years - it will be great to see those taking part in the full Marathon."
Thinking back to his recent charity challenge, Franny said he had learned some important lessons.
"It's amazing the level of challenge a body will take. When you reach a certain point and you feel your going to give up, your mindset kicks in to keep you going through the pain and discomfort," he said.
Across ABP 50 runners in total will be running, with many coming from head office in London to take part.
