A DELEGATION of representatives from Basingstoke and beyond is set to promote the region at the UK’s largest property event – MIPIM UK.

The delegation, which is being led by UK Property Forums, will promote the economic importance of the region and highlight upcoming regeneration and development schemes to domestic and international investors.

Enterprise M3 will be looking to promote its multi-site Enterprise Zone, EZ³ - The London & South Innovation Valley which links together three major sites – Basing View, in Basingstoke; Longcross Park, near Chertsey; and TechForest, in Whitehill & Bordon. All three sites are set to enable the development of 200,000 sq m of new commercial floor space, alongside the creation of 130 new businesses.

Nick Elphick, Enterprise M3 board member and chairman of the Enterprise Zone Steering Group said: “Enterprise M3 is delighted to be participating in MIPIMUK 2017, as part of the Greater Thames Valley region.

“We look forward to presenting the fantastic opportunities at our enterprise zone - EZ³, which offers 100% business rates, worth up to £275,000, in addition to the unique advantage of being the closest enterprise zone to London Heathrow.

“We have recently invested a further £10 million to accelerate the pace of development at EZ³ and this will, no doubt, attract more businesses to the Enterprise M3 area, which aside from London, is already home to the largest concentration of foreign owned companies in the UK.”

Meanwhile, Basingstoke and Dean Borough Council will promote a £4bn investment programme of private and public investment to the town.

Key development projects will be highlighted that are already underway and deliver on all fronts of work, rest, and play.

These include the regeneration of Basing View, the delivery of up to 8,000 new homes on land in public-ownership at Manydown and an exciting new leisure and designer outlet destination.

MIPIM UK is being held on October 18-19 at the Olympia in London.
